These terms apply to HEIC Converter (conversion app) and HEIC Explorer Preview (Explorer thumbnails and preview pane), and use of heic-converters.com. Product-specific terms below apply only to the product you purchase.

1. HEIC Converter — License Grant

Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use HEIC Converter on one (1) computer. A “computer” means a single physical or virtual Windows machine.

The free trial allows you to convert up to 15 files with full functionality. No payment information is required for the trial.

2. HEIC Converter — Pricing & Payment

HEIC Converter is available for a one-time payment of $19.95 USD. This includes the current version and all updates released within one year of your purchase date.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.

3. HEIC Converter — Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for HEIC Converter purchases made through our website. Contact us within 30 days for a full refund via Stripe to your original payment method.

4. HEIC Converter — Updates

Your license includes free updates for one year from the date of purchase. After one year, you may continue using your current version indefinitely or purchase a new license for continued updates.

5. HEIC Explorer Preview

Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use HEIC Explorer Preview on one (1) Windows computer. This product provides Windows Explorer thumbnails and preview-pane support for HEIC/HEIF files only; it does not convert or edit files.

HEIC Explorer Preview is offered for a one-time payment of $4.99 USD when purchased outside the Microsoft Store. There is no free trial for the standalone preview extension.

If you purchase through the Microsoft Store, payment and refunds are handled by Microsoft under their store policies. For direct purchases from us, contact us within 30 days for a money-back guarantee.

After installation, you may need to restart Windows Explorer (or reboot) before thumbnails and preview become active.

6. Restrictions

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, lease, or sublicense the software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the software in any way that violates applicable laws
• Share your license key with others or use it on more than one computer simultaneously

7. Intellectual Property

Our software and associated materials are protected by copyright law. Your license grants usage rights only; ownership remains with us.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable product.

10. Third-Party Components

Our software uses ImageMagick (Apache License 2.0) for image decoding. ImageMagick is bundled with the installers where applicable.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall the software. Liability and warranty sections survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
